Remind101 Texting
Sign up for reminders/announcements via text messaging! It is through a website that is set up for teachers to send announcements without sharing cell phone numbers. All students and parents are encouraged to sign up. I will use this as well my web backpack to make announcements about practices and meets.
Text the message @coachmelch to the number 913.871.9943
It will ask you to respond with your first and last name. This is so I can see who has signed up. There is no way for me to see any member’s actual numbers.
Gear/What to Wear:
· Runners should have an adequate pair of running shoes at every practice. No running shoes means no practice.
· Runners should be wearing proper running clothes. No jeans/jean shorts, lacey tank tops, etc.
· Cell phones, ipods, or any electronic device are not allowed while running during practice or during meets.
· Runners should be prepared to run outside for every practice unless there is lightning or threatening weather. Hot, cold, wet, dry..we will run outside!
· It is not required, but highly recommended that runners wear a wrist watch while running to help keep track of time as well as splits on their routes/mile times.
